Thing 16

Wikis!
1st wiki reviewed and bookmarked for 'inspiration':
Literary Circle Wiki
particularly liked the pages for student collaborative responses
with some brainpower and time, this wiki can teach me how to use a wiki, too!
spent about an hour here!
2nd wiki AP World History
interesting idea but didn't see much detail
Spent a few minutes @ PBWiki looking at educator use of it. Seems easier to use than the FUSD site
I guess I am wondering how this works differently than a blog/google website...for my current purposes: student response to literature, the info site for How to do a Response to Lit, and directions/websites for the year's major project. One way to find out is to play with creating a wiki to see if it works better than the 3 or 4 links on the bottom of classwebsite.
Finally I wonder do I do EVERYTHING for room 14 on 1 wiki? as in the KS lessons/webquests seem more webpage friendly. no collaboration needed. ????????????

Curriculum Connections: ideas 2 and 4 both work
I had already planned to do the trading cards with composer research...to post them on a wiki - our music wiki? - would be fabulous.
Using periods of Anc History each group could be responsible for compiling a list for an era.
