Thing 5 and 6

I used http://www.flickr.com/services/ to create this "magazine" cover from a field trip photo uploaded to flickr today.

After I uploaded a couple of pictures and registered my GATER14 blog I went straight to Thing6 and started exploring mashups. @ fd's flicker toys I couldn't resist making a cover.

I can see a few things that need changing, but i will keep it this way.

another mashup I looked at showed crime in Chicago. One could select the beat, type of crime, and time frame. a map pops up and gives detail. i wonder if chicago community organizers monitor this map.
